spmu and microblading
Do you have sparse eyebrows due to over-plucking, age related hair loss, alopecia or just naturally skinny eyebrows?
Or would you like beautiful colour tinted lips without the need for constantly applying lipstick?
If so, then Microblading or Semi-Permanent Make-Up (SPMU) could be for you.
This procedure carried out by our advanced SPMU practitioner, is a form of tattooing where pigment is applied into the upper layers of the skin using sharp, fine needles mounted in either a manual or machine hand tool to create natural looking results. It is known for being semi-permanent as unlike conventional tattooing, not only is the pigment chemistry different but the needles do not enter the skin as deeply.
Both treatments can achieve beautiful, shapely eyebrows and luscious lip definition and it's not unusual to have a mixture of the two applications during your treatment. This would all be discussed at your consultation.
A patch test of the pigment and topical anaesthetic will need to be done at least
48 hours prior to any treatment carried out.
The treatment time for Microblading and SPMU is usually around 2 hours, this gives the opportunity for not only shape design and colour choice but also for the topical anaesthetic to numb the area to make the treatment more comfortable.
After treatment the colour will look much darker than expected and this is completely normal as the colour can fade by as much as 60% during the healing process.
Once the skin is completely healed - normally around 6 weeks, a top up session will usually be required and this is included in the treatment price.
Results can last up to 18 months or longer but an annual refresher treatment is advised to keep the colours looking vibrant particularly for lips. All treatment results are dependent on skin type, after care and lifestyle activities such as sun exposure, swimming and outdoor pursuits.
