AllerTox (also referred to as HayTox) is a medical cosmetic treatment that uses botulinum toxin administered via a nasal spray to treat severe hay fever and allergic rhinitis. It provides long-lasting relief from symptoms like sneezing, nasal congestion, and watery eyes when conventional treatments like antihistamines fall short.

How It Works

Mechanism: The botulinum toxin is gently sprayed into the nasal passages using an atomizer. It works by temporarily blocking the nerve signals in the nose that trigger mucus secretion and allergic reactions.

Relief Duration: A single in-clinic treatment provides relief that can last for the duration of the hay fever season, typically between 2 to 3 months. You can have 3 -4 AllerTox treatments in a 12-month period.

Benefits: It is needle-free, painless, requires no downtime, and avoids the use of daily tablets or steroids.

Are there any side effects: There are no reported side effects of having this procedure. Remember it can take up to a week to take effect, and you are permitted to use other allergy medication during this time.

How to prepare for this treatment?

·         It is advised to use a saline spray 30 mins prior to the treatment, this will clear your nose from any pollen/Dust prior to the treatment.
