What Is It?

Cryolipolysis, cryogenic lipolysis... or fat freezing as it's more commonly known, is a non-invasive treatment using a combination of vacuum suction and cryotherapy that targets stubborn pockets of body fat.

 

How Does It Work?

Freezing these unwanted fat cells causes them to crystallise and die without affecting any other structures in the skin. Waste product from the fat cells is then naturally disposed of via the body's own lymphatic system. About 20 to 40% of fat cells in the treated area die naturally and dissolve over the following days, with results showing after approximately four months.

Are The Results Instant?

Although some people will see an immediate reduction in circumference after their first treatment, because of the way our lymphatic system works, final results can take between 6-12 weeks to become noticeable.

Will It Last?

Once a fat cell is destroyed, it cannot re-grow. However...those cells that remain can increase in size if you don't follow a healthy diet or lifestyle!

How Many Treatments Should I have?

Fat freezing is considered to be a 'one off' treatment, but should you require more sessions to achieve the reduction you want, the treatment can be repeated every 6 weeks per area. After your fat freezing session you may also want to consider Ultrasound Cavitation, Shockwave and Radio Frequency for skin tightening - all of these technologies work hand-in-hand with each other and can greatly enhance the results of a fat freezing session when combined in a course of treatments.

We can treat many body areas where a pocket of stubborn fat can be seen, including tummy, thighs, love handles and back fat. More than one area can be treated at the same time and this can be discussed at your consultation.
