WHAT IS IT?

A chemical peel is a technique used to improve and smooth the texture of the skin for both men and women. Facial skin is the area most commonly treated, but it can also be used to treat the neck, chest, back and hands.

At your first appointment, our Advanced Nurse Practitioner Karen will assess your skin to identify which treatment combination is best for you. You will also be able to purchase a pre-treatment kit which will prepare your skin in advance of your personalised treatment.

HOW DOES It WORK?

Chemical peels speed up the exfoliation process, encouraging cell turnover that leaves skin looking fresh and healthy. The result is exfoliation after a treatment, often seen in the form of mild peeling or flaking that lasts a couple days.​

How OFTEN SHOULD I GET A PEEL?

For best results, chemical peels are usually recommended once every 3-6 weeks, depending on the peel, in line with the skin's natural 28-day cell turnover process. Depending on your skin concern, we may recommend a peel more or less frequently.
